comfortable indoor climate

A very poor indoor climate in buildings can lead to a wide range of complaints of the users. For example; eye- nose- throat irritation, headache, fatigue, odor and increased sensitivity of certain substances.

The building regulations of the government are in the last twenty years sharpened for the indoor climate. For new build this had led to high standards regarding isolation. In particular by this improvement, the natural ventilation is not longer sufficient to supply fresh air into the building. Therefor mechanical ventilaion had become a necessity.

Ned Air offers for already more then 20 years adequate ventilation systems and air handling for buildings, with or without heat exchange.

Air handling with mechanical ventilation

By air handling systems with mechanical ventilation the flow can be controlled by a supply- or extractfan with adjustable speed. The speed of the fan can be controlled by a sensor. The most common sensors are the one who can measure CO2 or Relative Humidity (RH). The values are compared and the room can be ventilated on demand.

Ventilation with heat recovery (HRU)

With ventilation the extracted air is warmer then the supplied air. This will lead to heat loss. By using a heat exchanger between the supply- and extract air, the warm air from the extracted air can be transferred seperated to the supply air. The heat exchangers can reach an efficiency of 90%, thus the heat loss is limited.

A ventilation system is based on creating the balance between the supply- and extract air in the building. The polluted and moist air will be discharged out of the building. The same amount fresh air is being blown in via the heat exchanger. Just as much air in as out. Fresh air is also being filtered.

Comfortable indoor climate

A indoor climate in a space, and the way the users are assessing the comfortability is influenced in two aspects: First the temperature and second the freshness of the air. Temperature is important for a comfortable indoor climate, but also thing like draft or invading Sun can make a change. For fresh air you don't want unpleasant odors or a high concentration of CO2. The more CO2, the less the air quality.

A Ned Air ventilation system can make the indoor climate more manageable and prevent the complaints of the room user. Please contact one of our advisors for more information about indoor climate solution.
